Kate’s first experience with Bikram Yoga was when she was in high school and accompanied her sister to class. She loved the yoga from the first class but was unable to continue her practice while attending college and eventually graduate school to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at The University of Connecticut. Kate completed her degree in 2007 and worked in various areas of pharmacy but found that she was never completely fulfilled by her work. When Kate moved to Boston she once again found the yoga but practice sporadically.
It was while planning her wedding and dealing with some digestive issues that Kate made it back to the yoga consistently. She found that in addition to quieting her mind and alleviating stress and anxiety, the yoga also helped with her symptoms. In 2012 Kate began practicing 4-5 times per week and in the Spring of 2013 with the support of her husband, Chris, she attending Teacher Training in Los Angeles.
Kate now enjoys a healthy balance of teaching, practicing, and working in pharmacy. She continues to be inspired by the students of Bikram Yoga Danvers and looks forward to each class.
